At our development department in Boden, Norrbotten, we carry out ongoing research projects with the focus on innovation and improving efficiency to ensure optimised bioenergy production. Projects are often run in co-operation with Luleå University of Technology or peak competence companies close to the university. Academic co-operation means we will always have high-quality documentation and excellent facilities for testing and simulation.

LULEÅ UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY - DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY TECHNOLOGY
The department of energy technology at Luleå University of Technology conducts research into the thermochemical transformation of biomass, and process integration/systems analysis. Within the field of thermochemical transformation, research focuses on the production of motor fuel, electricity and heat through the combustion and gasification of biomass. In the field of process integration/systems analysis, research is carried out into how process integration of different subcomponents/processes and aspects of energy systems can reduce both energy consumption and environmental impact, primarily in energy-intensive industries. The research is often conducted in co-operation with companies, industries and national and international research institutes and universities.
